Julia's Alterations New Location - August 1st, 2016 -
To serve you better with even more space, we are moving to a new facility on 265 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532. Route 20. To celebrate the expansion, we are offering up to 10 percent off our regular alterations prices during the week of August 1st to August 31st.
We have enjoyed doing business with you in Hudson, MA and appreciate your support. We hope you will get acquainted with our new store soon. We have ample parking!

How much does a couture design cost?
Can't find your Dream Wedding Dress, or you want something uniquely you? Julia's Alterations is the place in Hudson, MA that offers you "Create Your Own Dress".
Bring your ideas, sketches, magazine photos or other visual aids to your appointment.
Each design is priced based on the cost of materials and the time to design and create the finished garment. Details such as multiple layers, draped features, beading or lace applique require more time and thus increase the price.
Prices: Wedding gowns are $3000 and up
Special occasion dresses (MOB, etc) are $1,500 and up
Timing: Dresses can be made and delivered in as little as two months.
Prices include free basic alterations, so make an appointment and come see us .

*Course Title: Sewing Basics*
Dates: 9/18/14 to 11/13/14 No Class Dates:
(No class October 2) Time: 6:00 PM to 8:30 AM Day(s): Thursday
Learn to sew and you'll be able to create clothes that flatter while also saving money. We will start by making pajamas because it is a great way to discuss collars, facings, button holes, and sleeves.
Topics to be covered include:
· fabric selection
· cutting and assembling
· fitting and finishing
· zippers, hems and darts
Note: Bring your own sewing machine, if it's in good working order, or use ours. Wait until after the first class before purchasing fabric and pattern. Bring a dressmaker's tape with you to class.
*Course Title: Clothing Alteration*
Dates: 9/16/14 to 11/04/14 No Class
Dates: Time: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM Day(s): Tuesday
Since most clothing today is mass produced and conforms to standard sizing, everyone will need clothing alterations because we all have different body shapes. This course will teach you to alter, restyle and recycle garments.
You will learn:
· machine stitches and functions
· tailoring and fitting techniques
· tailoring tools
Note: This class is for those who have basic level sewing skills.
